Here is a recap of Friday’s second round at the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.:
Snedeker used a late eagle-birdie to stretch to fire a 3-under 67 and sit in a two-shot lead at 14 under through 36 holes. It’s a pretty nice follow-up to an opening 59 where he played his closing nine (the front) in just 27 strokes. It was a hard-fought 67, too.
The second day was a grind from the start, as Snedeker made three bogeys against two birdies to go out in 1-over 36 (the same nine where he had shot 27 the day before). He birdied the 11th but had actually fallen out of the lead until rolling in a 30-foot eagle putt at the par-5 15th moved him back one ahead of D.A. Points.
